Are there any other fees?

No! Your membership grants unlimited access to ALL current and future classes, as well as all the other features, for each kid in your family. You never have to pay extra.

Is this a full curriculum or a supplement?

It can be used as either. You can make our curriculum your full, standalone curriculum, or you can use it to supplement any other platform which you are already using, giving your kids access to hundreds of new classes and electives to explore so that they can find classes they are passionate about, and get the best education.

Are the classes taken at specific times? Is there a schedule?

We recognize that different families have different schedules. Our classes are pre-recorded by the teachers, and can be taken at any time and on your own schedule, and can be re-taken as many times as the student wants. Our program works around your family's schedule, you never have to worry about missing a class.

How can the Homeschool Advisor help me?

As part of your Homeschool Pro™ membership, you are assigned a dedicated advisor who has worked with many families from your state, and is knowledgeable about all forms and other requirements for homeschooling. Many parents have told us that before subscribing to Homeschool Pro™ they spent countless hours on Google, Facebook Groups, Forums and other sources trying to research the correct requirements or what forms to submit and when. Your dedicated advisor can serve as your single point of contact and can help you with making sure all forms and requirements are met, so the parent/student can focus on the learning and not worrying about all the technicalities. Much less stressful, and much better than going on a bulletin board to ask a question and getting 10 different answers that just add to your confusion!

The homeschool advisor also can also advise college-bound families regarding matters such as transcripts, credits, scholarships, college applications, and more.

What is the Lifetime Membership?

The lifetime membership lets you save in the long run by paying a one-time fee instead of subscribing monthly (or annually). If you purchase the lifetime membership, all kids in your family can take advantage of the program forever, for all the school years, and you don't have to pay monthly (or annually). You can even add kids later if they were too young to use the program at the time of the purchase.

What is JuniorFolio™?

Our revolutionary JuniorFolio™ is the digital portfolio for your kids to showcase all their achievements. As your kid completes certain milestones while participating in our fun and educational online activities, digital awards will be granted to the learner. JuniorFolio??? automatically and chronologically organizes this stream of accomplishments for families to cherish and share with the people they want, such as friends and other family members, so that they can witness the remarkable progress the young learner has achieved.
This digital portfolio is especially useful for homeschoolers as many colleges and universities are moving to a portfolio style of admissions and your student's JuniorFolio™ can give them the edge they deserve.

I've never homeschooled before. How do I get started?

This will vary by state. Every state has its own requirements with regard to the notice you have to give them, and the forms you have to submit, including progress reports throughout the year. Our homeschool advisor will help you with all the forms and other requirements so that you do not have to worry about whether you are doing it right.

Can I start in the middle of the school year?

Yes, you can start homeschooling any time. We have parents registering to our program all year round. And our Homeschool Advisor can help you with any forms necessary as required by your state.

What classes are included in the curriculum?

Your Homeschool Pro™ membership grants you access to hundreds of classes, with more being added all the time. And it's not just core subjects such as Math, Science, Social Studies, and ELA - we offer many electives, as well as extracurricular classes such as second languages, musical instruments, cooking, fitness/martial arts, chess, and more. The Homeschool Pro™ curriculum helps inspire the young student and instill traits such as Problem-solving, Critical Thinking, Leadership, Entrepreneurship, Multilingualism, and explore any other academic fields they wish to venture to. Students gain core content knowledge as well as have the chance to explore and learn outside the core. Can my kid take classes at above or below grade level?

Yes, the curriculum is fully flexible and individual classes can be taken at below, at grade level, or above grade level. Advanced students can move on to more challenging topics that reinforce and extend what they have already learned.

Can I enroll if I am outside the USA?

Yes, we have many international families using our programs from all over the world including Canada, Europe, Asia, South America, and Australia. Many foreign service members from the USA also use our program from abroad to help get a high-quality education for their kids in countries where such is not available.

Do I need to purchase a membership for each kid in the family?

Unlike many other programs that require you to pay a separate fee for each kid, at RLS one membership covers all kids in the family!

Will my kids get a student ID card?

Yes! As part of the Homeschool Pro™ membership, all kids in the family receive a Student ID card that can be used for student discounts, as an alternative form of identification, proof of enrollment, and more. Many homeschool parents have told us they found it very useful for their kids to have a student ID while homeschooling, and also reported taking advantage of the student discounts to save hundreds of dollars a year on software and many other products and services for their kids.

Will my kids get a school email address?

Yes! The Homeschool Pro™ membership includes a @RemoteLearning.school email address for every student. Each email account comes with up to 200mb of storage, strong spam and privacy protections, as well as parental monitors. Parents have reported that their kids are proud of having this distinctive school email account and using it to talk to their relatives and to submit schoolwork. Many online retailers also require a school email address to validate student status and receive substantial student discounts on software and other products. Of course, it is the parent's decision whether you feel the student is ready to have their own email account, and if you feel they are not old enough to have an email account yet, you can just use it for student discount validation.

Do I have to buy any textbooks?

All required materials are included with the classes and made available for download by the teachers, so you don't have to spend hundreds of dollars on textbooks and other materials.

Can I use this together with another curriculum?

Many parents use our curriculum as a full homeschool curriculum, while others use it as a supplement. Some parents are "hybrid homeschoolers" who mix and match courses from a variety of offline and online sources, including ours. Some use our program just for help with forms preparation, get access to a dedicated homeschool advisor, student ID, digital portfolio, etc. So it is all very flexible, and you are in control. When you also use other programs, our homeschool advisors can even help integrate it into any transcripts or education plans, so you have your records all in one place.
