Homeschool Pro™ · Student ID
A student ID for homeschoolers.
Right on the phone.
Every Homeschool Pro student receives a digital student ID card, kept in a dedicated mobile app on a parent's phone or the student's own. Proof of enrollment, an alternative form of identification, and a way to ask about student discounts, without printing anything or wondering whether the card was left at home.
What it's for
Proof of enrollment
An official card that shows your child is a student, for the moments when student or homeschool identification is requested.
Student discounts
Zoos, museums, aquariums, science centers, theaters, software and more often offer student pricing. Not everywhere does, but where they do, the savings add up.
An extra form of ID
A photo ID with the student's name, grade and state, for situations where a child needs an identification card.
It makes it feel real
For a homeschooled kid, a school ID in their name makes their education feel official and connected, because it is.
The card
What's on it, and how it works.
- The student's name, photo and signature
- Student ID number, grade level and state
- A valid-through date, renewed while your membership is active
- A scannable QR code
- Homeschool Pro and RemoteLearning.school branding, so it's recognized as a school ID
Cards live in the ID Cards mobile app. A parent can keep every student's card, and their own teacher ID, on one phone; a student with their own phone can carry their own. Student IDs are prepared once your students are added through the Learner Enrollment Form in your Parent Portal, and you'll receive access details by email.
In real life
Learning happens everywhere. So does the ID.
Homeschool learning doesn't only happen at a desk. It happens on field trips, at museums and libraries, at activities and programs, anywhere a family is learning together.
In this video, a Homeschool Pro mom and her son show how their digital IDs work in real life. He has his student ID on his phone; she has her teacher ID on hers. When they visit a zoo, a museum, an aquarium, a science center, a nature center or a historic site, she asks whether student or homeschool educator discounts are available. Not every place offers them, but when they do, it adds up, and there's nothing to print and nothing to dig out of a folder.
For students, the ID makes homeschooling feel official. For parents, the teacher ID recognizes the role they play in guiding their child's education.
