Classes

Full Curriculum

We offer a complete curriculum for every grade, from Kindergarten through 12th. All core subjects - English language arts, math, science, and social studies - are included in our curriculum. But we don't stop there. We go beyond the core, offering hundreds of elective classes, to encourage students to pursue interests and passions and receive a well-rounded education. Taking additional classes outside the core has shown to make a positive impact on college readiness and prepare the students for the future.

STEAM

Students will uncover the dynamic power and potential of STEM subjects through projects featuring robotics, experimental design, engineering, computer coding, mobile app development, Minecraft, and more. But learning is not only about words and numbers, it is also about engaging your imagination. By integrating the arts into STEM, STEAM-focused curriculum incorporates the study of the humanities, language arts, dance, drama, music, visual arts, design, new media and more to spark the student's creativity.

Teacher Recorded Classes

Classes are recorded by real teachers who are passionate about making sure the student understands all the materials, just as if they were in their own classroom. Since the classes are pre-recorded, they can be taken by the student anytime and at their own pace, giving families maximum flexibility with their schedule. Students can rewatch a class as many times as they want to review or to better understand any complex topic, and for long-term retention of class material.

Automatically-graded Quizzes

Our quizzes let students test their knowledge. Quizzes are auto-graded by our software, saving you time and effort and making results available instantly for your students. For some quizzes, students will also see feedback, like hints or explanations, for each question. There are also optional assignments and projects that can be submitted to the instructor for manual grading. Students can re-attempt quizzes as many times as they want, to help improve their score and refresh their memory.

Physical Activity

With all the screen time kids get while stuck at home during the pandemic, we also wanted to encourage some healthy physical activity! Regular physical activity has been shown to reduce risk of cardiovascular diseases as well as some cancers, improve bone health, promote mental health, and help reduce anxiety and lower the risk of mood disorders. Some scientific studies have even suggested that exercise also reduces the chance of contracting COVID-19. Our physical activity classes include exercise, soccer, and other fun sports!

Musical Instruments

Children of all ages just love to express themselves through music! And now they can learn to play their favorite musical instrument. In addition to having a blast and impressing their friends and family, learning musical instruments also accelerates brain development, enhances hand-eye coordination, amplifies sensory perception, improves social skills, and much more! A variety of musical instrument classes will be offered including piano, flute, violin, guitar, trumpet, drums (parent's favorite!) and more.

21st Century Skills

Today's world requires a multi-dimensional approach to the learning experience. 21st Century Skills go beyond core standards, and help your student feel empowered, become independent, develop their self-esteem, and aid in socialization and reasoning skills. We integrate the changemaking skills - such as creativity, curiosity, empathy, entrepreneurship, teamwork, leadership, and problem-solving - into our curriculum so that the students get what they need to succeed and thrive in the 21st century, many skills that kids rarely learn in traditional school settings.

Dynamic Progression

No set of grade-level standards can reflect the great variety of abilities, needs, learning rates, and achievement levels of your kids. We recognize that each student is a unique individual and can have their own strengths and weaknesses. The curriculum is fully flexible and individual classes can therefore independently be taken at any grade level, so a student can choose to take a class below grade level to review and catch up on a certain subject, while simultaneously taking a different class at above grade level to advance rapidly and take on new challenges.

Second Language Program

Learning a second language at an early age contributes to cognitive, social, and emotional development, as well as helps accelerate learning. For those kids seeking to become bilingual or multilintual, we offer a variety of second languages for your kids to choose from, including Spanish, French, Chinese, Korean, and American Sign LanguageNEW.

Electives and Extracurriculars

We offer a wide variety of electives, extracurriculars, and special interest classes which incorporate learning new practical skills while allowing kids to explore potential future career prospects!
We have classes such as chess, entrepreneurship, journalism, meteorology, astronomy, acting, photography, and more.
